1. The Syllabus of Sr. Secondary has been revised from 2008-09. 
2. Question Paper of the ODES Sr. Secondary is based on the Question Bank of new syllabus only.

Procedure and schedule for change of subject for Learners of stream 3 & 4	Status of Refrence No Deleted

Note : The Students who have already registered with NIOS and have valid Enrolment No should not register here through online to appear in the On Demand Examination. Such Students having valid Enrolment number and Identity Card should register themselves under "Online Registration for On Demand Examination for Existing learners".

Availability

Available On Line throughout the year. The admission under this stream is limited to the availability of seats in ODES at Sr.Secondary with a option of Examination Centre at NIOS Headquarter or at the Regional Centre.

Eligibility

The following category of learners are eligible for Online Admission Stream IV

1. Learners who have already passed Sr.Secondary or above from recognized Board/University and want to take part admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for updating their qualification as well as the learners should have passed Secondary class (class 10th) from any recognized Board.

OR

2. The learners who had appeared but could not clear or were eligible to appear but could not appear the Public Examination of Sr.Secondary Level from any recognized Examination Board in the same subject combination in which they had appeared and want to appear through On Demand Examination System of NIOS at Sr.Secondary level as well as the learners should have passed Secondary class (class 10th) from any recognized Board.

Minimum Age

16 (Sixteen) years as on the date of application. The supporting document required for the proof of age is Attested copy of the Certificate Of Matriculation/ Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth. No Other proof of age will be accepted for Online Admission for On-Demand Examination at Sr. Secondary.

Subjects

At present the followings subjects namely Hindi (301), English (302), Mathematics (311), Physics (312), Chemistry (313), Biology (314),Geography (316), Political Sc.(317), Economics (318), Business Studies (319), Accountancy (320), Home Science (321), Psychology (328), Sociology (331), Painting (332) and Environmental Science (333) are available under ODES. The more subjects will be included in due course of time.

Mode of Examination

Learners registering under this scheme will be allowed to appear in the Examination only through On Demand Examination mode. In any circumstances/case they will not be allowed to appear in the Examination through the Public Examination conducted by NIOS during October/Nov. and April/May.

Declaration of Result

Every month for the exams held during the previous month.

Marksheet/Certificate

The candidate has to submit an Application form along with a bank draft of Rs. 100/- & the Internet Result copy to Marks & Migration Unit to obtain the Marksheet/Certificate

Friday or Saturday at NIOS AI (study centre) or at another reputed school.Timing as announced on the day of Theory paper

1. Please take one Printout (NIOS Copy) of filled in Admission Form. Please put your signature and paste passport size photograph on the printed Application Form and send it within 5 Days from the date of Registration to,

2. Attach the attested documents along with the printout of the filled in application form and get the photographs attested on the printed application form from Principal/Co-ordinator or Gazatted Officer/Tehsildar/District Magistrate.
3. You should ensure that the particulars filled in the On Line Application Forms are correct.
4. Photograph : You should scan your photograph and save it in the form of .jpg file for uploading the same if the application without the scanned photograph is submitted then the application will be rejected.
5. Fees :

There will be two options for the payment of fees:
(A) The fee can be deposited On-line through Credit Card/Debit card, or
(B) Through Bank Draft in favour of Secretary, NIOS payable at NOIDA. Pl. mention your Reference No. and Name at the back of the Bank Draft.

Documents Required to be sent along with the Printout of the filled in Online Admission Form

1. Attested copy of the Certificate Of Matriculation/Secondary Examination having a record of the Date of Birth. (No Other proof of age will be accepted for Sr. Secondary admission)
2. If passed Class XII, then attested copy of the Marksheet/Certificate of Class XII, ELSE
3. Original failure/compartment Marksheet of class XII for TOC.
